Warehouse Technician I

Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Tech is responsible for utilizing computer systems and other resources to source and locate materials in the warehouse and issue materials to mine personnel while maintaining a safety culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain parts inventory and monitor inventoried parts for proper storage, usage and obsolescence, and.determine proper storage need
  • Ensure proper accounting for materials issued
  • Assist purchasing and accounting in the process of purchasing, receiving, delivery and payment of materials.
  • Monitor and inspect work areas to assure area is safe and in compliance with all MSHA and company safety rules and regulations, correcting all unsafe conditions
  • Administer activities to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and union bargaining unit agreement.
  • Analyze internal warehouse controls and activities to insure compliance with SOX.
  • Prepare or review reports as required to evaluate and document activities
    Perform related work as required.

Typical Physical Demands
Ability to lift a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, lifting, and use full range of body motions.
May require working rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
Typical Working Conditions
Work in a safe manner at all times and be aware of environmental responsibilities both in the office and in the manufacturing setting. This is work which requires the following physical activities: bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience which may included knowledge of mining equipment parts and operational supplies.
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
