Summary
Responsible for accurately processing financial transactions and being an effective source of information for our customers: in lobby, drive-thru window or by telephone. Provides friendly, professional, confidential and effective assistance to customers and company associates assuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time.
Essential Functions
? Demonstrate efficiency processing a variety of banking transactions relative to any accounts, services or products offered by the bank in accordance with established procedures and policies including, but not limited to; cashing checks, processing deposits, receiving loan payments, selling gift cards, issuing cashiers checks, filling business cash orders, redeeming savings bonds, processing credit card advance requests, verifying nightly depository, selling/buying cash between the working vault and teller drawer while maintaining established cash levels.
? Balances cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions and notifies supervisor regarding any outages. Appropriately applying policies.
? Possess a basic knowledge and actively promote bank products to include deposit products such as checking, savings, money market, CD's, on-line banking, debit cards and HPC program.
?Create and maintain a clean, neat, pleasant work environment by maintaining a professional look (i.e. dress, posture, attitude, etc.), positive outlook and behavior toward customers and co-workers.
? Additional duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
Participates in Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of 1st Bank.
Participates in Community involvement.
Service Quality - embrace service pledge and provide extraordinary and consistent service to all internal and external customers. Listens to and asks about customers needs.
Participates in required training, staff meetings, and lobby displays.
Completes required BVS courses.
Represents 1st Bank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, maintains strictest confidentiality, has a positive "can-do" attitude, has good attendance, is punctual to work, and is flexible and adaptable to meet bank and customer needs.

Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Highly developed sales and customer service skills required.
Ability to use ten-key calculator and keyboarding.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Must maintain professional image always representing 1st Bank positively in community and industry affairs.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Prior banking experience/knowledge

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
